4 oz grapefruit juice (or about half of a large grapefruit)
2 oz tequila (optional)
4 strawberries, sliced thinly
1 cup sparkling water or citrus soda
2 cups crushed ice
Make a simple syrup by steeping the herbal tea in water in a small saucepan for about 10 minutes. Remove infuser and discard the tea. Dissolve honey in the tea and let cool.
(Tip: Store in the fridge for up to one week)
In two tall glasses, divide the grapefruit juice, strawberries, a splash of the herbal-honey syrup and tequila. Use a muddler to crush the strawberries and blend the flavors.
Divide the ice between the glasses and top off with sparkling water or citrus soda. Enjoy!
